What is the Hazelands?

The Hazelands is a world beyond our own. Hidden in a sea of mist lies a world of mischief and coincidence. Ruled by fae, gnomes and a few cabbage farmers who happened to stumble upon a magic egg. This realm is both strangely familiar and endlessly surprising. Rocks talk, fish run and flowers are waiting for you to judge their singing competition.

The Hazelands is rooted in the bones of European folklore, but has grown its own branches. It is whimsical, yes, but the sort of whimsy that could steal your shadow and never give it back.

Here, every road will lead to an unexpected quest, whether it is stopping an entire town from being destroyed by a waking giant or helping the Frog King to find his keys. What the moral of the story is, is entirely up to you...

A truly Folkloric TTRPG setting

The Hazelands can be used as a setting for TTRPG's, namely Dungeons & Dragons 5e.

This is a world that rewards wit over brute force, curiosity over certainty, and clever thinking over simply hitting the nearest problem with a sword. Not that swords are useless, but they might talk back.

Get lost in a strangely familiar place and help the hunt memories in the shape of birds, dance under the moonlight with fairies and explore what strange secrets hide under wells and mountains.

The setting is for everyone who likes
